Finally, CAT 2014 fourth and last slot finished at 5:50 pm on November 22. Now all we can do is to wait for the CAT 2014 results in the third week of December.

Shiksha.com caught up with several students and experts on the second day of CAT 2014. According to general perception, the paper was on the same lines as that of November 16, 2014, day one of CAT 2014.

Manish Harodia, founder of Genesis Mentors, says, "The paper was on the expected lines. It was similar to CAT 2014 day 1. Maths was comparable to Slot 1 and slot 2."

Students too reiterated similar views. “People were suspecting that LR and DI will be really tough. There were four sets in LR and DI. According to me, two sets were easy and two moderate to hard. English had many questions including misfit sentences. But RCs were lengthy,” said CAT 2014 aspirant Rimshaw.

According to Abhinav Jado, a working professional who took CAT exam for the second time, “The English section was quite lengthy. This year (CAT 2014), the paper is quite lengthy but easy. There are direct questions on the formulae. One should revise the formulae.”

Unlike last time where students complained of technical glitches, everything went smoothly today.

However, issues over centre allocation were raised by parents, relatives and friends accompanying the CAT 2014 aspirants. “My friend Rajat came all the way from Muzaffarnagar. He faced several problems to come to Noida. He arrived the night before and then started for the centre at 5:00 am in the morning,” said a friend of a CAT 2014 aspirant.

Shiksha.com met many other anxious parents. “All of us had filled this centre as the third and last option. Why did we all receive this centre? Some of us had to travel anywhere between 70 to 100 kilometers,” said a mother of CAT 2014 aspirant. “One should include the transportation /commuting fees to the centre. The exam registration fee is Rs 1600 and taxi charges were Rs 3000,” she further added.
