IIM-I suspended two for drug abuse
Two IIM-I (Indian Institute of Management-Indore) students have been suspended after they were caught red-handed taking drugs in the institute premises, reported Zee News.
According to a source at the institute, Shailpa Nepali, a student of Integrated Programme in Management and Varun Yadav of Post-Graduate Programme in Management were suspended after the disciplinary committee requested for Rustication.
Both the students have the right to appeal against their rustication from the institute, a senior official at IIM-I told the news channel. The institute has informed the local police about the incident. (Read More...)

According to a younger IIM placement committee member, younger IIMs have smaller batch size as compared to the older IIMs and they are ok if a company does not want to recruit in bulk.
Placement chairpersons at these institutes told Business Standard that placement details at IIMs are always hushed-up, except for the three big IIMs- Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Calcutta which largely share placement details with each others.
In order to attract recruiting companies, the newer IIMs are dishing out a deal to the companies. To attract more companies on campus, these younger IIMs are organizing live projects, colloquiums and HR conclaves to build relationships with companies. (Read complete story)
