ISB to groom executives in Middle East

The globally renowned Indian School of Business (ISB) will extend its executive education courses to the Middle East following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the senior director of ISB's Centre for Executive Education (CEE), Ramanathan Hariharan and S Durgaprasad, director and CEO, Bahwan CyberTek Group (BCT) Group of Oman.
Expected to help build an education-driven economy, the executive courses will focus on grooming senior and middle management in the Middle East. Customising the course for these executives, CEE is looking to create case studies relevant to the region besides a focus on new management practices and business models. ISB will take care of the design and delivery of the program.
Bahwan CyberTek Group, a part of Oman-based Suhail Bahwan Group, is set to focus on industry verticals like banking, financial services, government, energy utility industry and infrastructure. These education programmes are aimed at citizens of Oman and also expatriates.
The programme is said to begin from September 2012 in Oman, targetting 50 to 100 executives in its first year. BCT plans to expand this to the UAE, Qatar, Egypt and other countries in the region.
ISB's executive programs are expected to meet the internal needs of the 1,500-member organization. BCT is a $110 million company with operations in 4 continents, providing solutions to 20 countries. (Read more)
