Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is the first step towards seeking an admission to the prestigious Two Year Full Time Post-Graduate Degree (or Diploma) Program in Management offered by the IITs.

Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is the first step towards seeking an admission to the prestigious Two Year Full Time Post-Graduate Degree (or Diploma) Program in Management offered by the IITs. This Program in Management is currently offered by IIT Mumbai, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Chennai, IIT Roorkee and IISC, Bangalore.


JMET 2010 was held on December 13, 2009. It had 4 sections, with 30 questions in each section. The instructions page in the test booklet confirmed that a certain minimum score in each of the four sections is needed to qualify for the next rounds of selection.

The table below indicates the minimum cut-off Marks and Rank at each of the IITs to get a call for GD/PI for the last three years. You can use this table to estimate your chances of getting a call for GD/PI this year based on your Marks/Rank. For e.g. to get a call letter from IIT Mumbai, your JMET Rank should be 300 or better.
