MICAT I has been considered on December 5 in 48 cities across India. The test for the admission to MICA Ahmedabad for its flagship PGDM and PGDM-Communication (PGDM-C) is conducted over a duration of 2 hours 15 minutes. As compared to last year, the duration has reduced by 45 minutes. The pattern of MICAT includes both objective and subjective type questions to be answered in a computer-based mode. Since the exam duration has changed, the number of questions in the Section C areas have changed as well. Last year, the number of questions ranged from 24 to 30. This year, each sub-section carries 20 questions each.
On account of the COVID-19 pandemic, the exam was conducted amid adequate safety norms. Candidates had to wear masks throughout the duration spent inside the exam centre and had to carry their personal transparent water bottle and hand sanitizer (50 ml). Apart from these and the MICAT I admit card and photo identity cards, nothing else was permitted to be carried inside the exam hall. The test centre authorities also ensured that the social distancing norms are maintained properly in terms of entry, exit and seating arrangement.
The MICAT I result will be declared on December 21. The application process for MICAT II is ongoing and the process will end on January 20. Based on the performance of MICAT I candidates may choose to appear for MICAT II. The best of the two scores will be considered by MICA for final admission.
