I was born in a poor family in Champanagar, Bhagalpur in Bihar. I passed Matric in the year 1976 from Gurukul High school, Nathnagar and completed Intermediate in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from Tej Narayan Baneli College, Bhagalpur. Due to poverty I had to take tuitions. Our financial condition was so bad that it was difficult to arrange two-square meals.

Because of our poor financial condition I could not think of studying in a private institute. So I decided to appear in the polytechnic entrance exam cleared it. I got admission in Government Polytechnic, Ranchi. I chose Production Technology as my course. I passed with distinction.

I never refused any student who came to me for help.

Life after college

The period from 1980 to 1984 was very crucial for me. I had to cook my food in the hostel because I didn’t have enough money to pay in canteen. Some friends also helped me. During that period I gave tuitions to students in Ranchi. After completing my Polytechnic course I got a job at Shree Ram Bearing, Ratu Road, Ranchi and worked there from March 1984 to 1985 July. Then I joined Usha Martin Industry, Tatisilway Ranchi. Then in the year 1989 I got the job in the Central Railway, Parel, Mumbai as a Chargeman. In the year 1992, I joined Sardar Patel College of Engineering to pursue a part time course. But again, I suffered family problems. However, I didn't leave the hope and with hard work I completed Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering in year 2001. In 2008, I appeared for IGNOU’s MBA entrance exam and I qualified. I completed MBA in Human Resources.

I wanted to earn Doctorate in Management but could not pursue it. Now I am studying MA (English) at IGNOU. I would like to thank IGNOU and all my friends who directly or indirectly helped me in making my career. I always appreciate the people who are interested in studying and want to make a career. I can guide MBA and Engineering students and I like to support students who are economically poor but have the will to get education. I never refused any student who came to me for help.
