How JIMS has improved my personality: Vaishali Puri

It was a tough task to choose the right institute which would not only add value to one’s personality but also enhance the knowledge and skill sets required to enter into the cut-throat competitive environment of multinationals. The search brought me to Jagannath International Management School (JIMS, Kalkaji) and the positive energy of the campus was so scintillating that it captured the heart and soul. After a rigorous feedback on the institute, the placement records, and considering the distance from my residence, I felt JIMS was the best option.

JIMS follows the philosophy “Winners don’t do different things, they do things differently”. Now, spending close to 8 months in JIMS, I feel I made the right decision to join the institute. JIMS has qualified and experienced faculty members who work tirelessly for the holistic development of each student providing them guidance from time to time. The students are encouraged to organize and participate in as many events as possible, both at the campus and outside, which further add to their skill improvement. The faculty on a regular basis conducts quizzes to keep the students in accordance with the latest business developments. Also, to enhance the communication skills of the students, regular presentation sessions are held. The students are groomed to be future managers with Personality Development Program. Also, the students are provided with practical exposure beyond classroom by way of industrial tour and seminars. At JIMS, I got the opportunity to attend various national and international level conferences and present research articles at international conferences. Apart from conferences, the institute offers some add-on courses to add to the employability skills of the students. The college has a wide collection of various books, international journals, research papers in its state-of-art library.

How I cracked college admission

The admission process bears no relaxation in terms of the minimum criteria set by the authority. Since I cleared MAT with a score of 650+, I was eligible to take admission and get a 25% scholarship in the tuition fees.

What I gained from my college experience

I have been able to improve my time management and analytical skills. Also, I have been able to adapt to a more practical approach towards life. I also have been organizing and managing various events at college. JIMS has brought a huge change in my personality, the most striking being able to focus and prioritize things. Also, at JIMS, focussed approach is followed for the holistic development through regular group discussions and mock interview sessions in order to make students ready for the industry.

My college experience has been excellent as I am enhancing my organizational skills and leadership qualities.
