Next Generation GMAT is all set to make its debut in June 2012!
The winds of change are here in the GMAT scenario to test your ability in the information world. Come June 2012 and GMAT exam will introduce a fresh section, which will put to test a student's capacity to evaluate information from multiple sources. The new GMAT format is likely to include a 30-minute Integrated Reasoning section which will judge a student on:
- Skillfully assimilating information from different sources
- Ability to interpret data presented graphically
- Ability to analyze different types of information
- Ability to convert data
- Evaluating outcomes
In today's information-hungry business environment, all these skills are a prerequisite. A student is expected to master these and execute the same with utmost confidence.
GMAT exams have been prepared for and by business schools since 1953 and worked to suit their needs. According to a survey conducted in 2009, 740 business school faculties agreed that 21st century business aspirants must be smart to convert data between different formats, evaluate, solve complex problems and analyze tradeoffs and outcomes.
There will be no changes in format of GMAT Verbal, Quantitative and Total Scores. For the new Integrated Reasoning section, a separate score for the essay will be received by test takers. The exam duration will also remain unchanged (three and a half hours).
