SBI to hire 25,000 B-school graduates
B-School graduate is in demand everywhere. All small and big firms want to hire a B-School graduate for their business. Most of the companies who believe in hard core sales or whose most of business depends on sales only want to hire people who have graduated from
any B-schools. B-Schools inculcate many things in students who are the future managers, sales representatives or sales heads. They trained and groom them to tackle any situation in the field. Candidates from B-Schools are most desired. Nowadays, you can find a B-School graduate in almost every field. You can see them getting business for the company, cracking deals, building more client relations, all this gives them a special edge over others.
As B-School graduates are shinning everywhere, the India's largest lender State Bank of India is planning to hire B-School graduates to form a new pool of bank executives. This is really a good news for the B-School talent that now they have a big opportunity in their hands to show their metal. Till now the bank used to hire people mainly for their clerical posts and probationary officers. This year the bank is planning to hire around 25,000 peoples for their new services. Till last year, the SBI Capitals was hiring people form B-Schools, but now to as the SBI too is getting pressure to hire people form B-School to create the new pool of professional for business.
SBI official said, "The management graduates selected would be termed as executive trainees and they would be granted the scale II level. The batch will undergo further training. We are trying to change the matrix this time and have recruited almost 480 officials nationally at the scale-II level." So far the POs selected had to wait for five years to get promoted to scale II level.
The bank has a clear vision over hiring new people from the B-Schools. The bank believes that the candidates from management schools have a different kind of mindset regarding the business. They are high skilled professional who are groomed to be the future leaders. They will be paid higher salary as compared to probationary officers. SBI has work out on all the strategies and plans over hiring these professionals.
