Serious about making it to MBA at Symbiosis? Prepare well for Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP). This year SNAP 2014 will be held on December 21, 2014.

SNAP is a multiple-choice objective test. The score is used for admission to MBA or equivalent postgraduate programmes at all 13 institutes under Symbiosis International University (SIU). SNAP is not considered as tough to crack as CAT or XAT. Perfect planning and hard work can definitely help you score well.

Following are few tips to improve your score in SNAP 2014:

Plan well: Planning is a major part of any entrance exam prep. You must work on two major things while planning β€” what to attempt and when to attempt. You should have a clear idea about picking the right sections to begin and end your exam. If you feel that you do not know an answer, then do not waste your time on the question. Just leave the question and move on.

Time management: Time is a crucial factor. It is important for aspirants to be mindful of the time allotted for the test and distribute time to each section accordingly. Candidates are required to attempt 150 questions in 120 minutes. This means you are left with less than a minute per question. Manage your time carefully.

Work on your basics: Analyse your strengths and weaknesses and develop conceptual clarity on the topics covered in the syllabus. Don’t avoid difficult questions or topics that seem to baffle you as you can’t hope to score well if you haven’t worked for it. So practice, practice and more practice is the way to go.

Improve your general awareness: General awareness is important to success in the SNAP exam. Click here for the general awareness syllabus!

Build speed and accuracy: The key to scoring well is to answer maximum questions correctly in the allotted time limit. So, you are expected to maintain a good speed during the SNAP test. What’s important is that speed and accuracy must go hand in hand. You cannot just focus on one aspect or you will lose out on your marks. Also, due to negative marking in the exam, aspirants are expected to maintain accuracy. Be careful and don’t make stupid mistakes.

Practice mock tests: Practice makes one perfect. Accuracy can be gained with practice. Practice as much mock tests as you can. This will help you in getting to understand the SNAP test pattern better and you will be more comfortable attempting the actual test. Also, you will know how to manage your time during the exam. Try different strategies while attempting mock tests. You will be able to figure out the best strategy for you.
