TISS Announces TISSMAT and OPI Dates; Know Details Here

The dates of conducting Online Personal Interview and TISSMAT rounds have been announced by TISS. Know the dates and procedure in detail.

TISSNET OPI and TISSMAT Dates Announced

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences has announced the schedule for the Online Personal Interview (OPI) and TISS Management Aptitude Test (TISSMAT) rounds. While the OPI rounds will be conducted from April 27 to May 8, the TISSMAT round will be held on May 8. The other dates, such as that of the release of the TISSNET merit list and admission schedule are yet to be announced. The TISSNET 2021 result for the exam which was conducted on February 20 was declared on March 25. Let us take a look at the important dates and other information in detail.

TISSNET Selection Process Important Dates

The following table brings the important dates of the TISSNET 2021 selection procedure.

It is expected that the TISSNET merit list will be declared by the fourth week of May.

What is OPI

OPI or the Online Personal Interview, as the name suggests, is the Personal Interview round which will be conducted in a virtual mode, through video conferencing method. Shortlisted candidates will have to participate in the OPI round on the slated date and time by visiting the link given by TISS through email or SMS.

Candidates can participate in the OPI round from any location, provided the place has a strong internet connection. The duration of the OPI round is likely to be around 15 minutes to half an hour. The questions will be on Current Affairs, Business, Economics, Politics, among others.

What is TISSMAT

TISSMAT is a test of 45 minutes duration carrying 35 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and one Essay Writing or a descriptive test of 15 minutes duration. The following table brings the structure and pattern of TISSMAT.

It is mandatory to appear for the TISSMAT round if they want to be selected by TISS,

TISS Final Selection Criteria

The final selection at TISS takes place on the basis of TISSNET, TISSMAT and OPI rounds. The weightage assigned to these factors are as follows:

• TISSMAT: 30 per cent

• Pre-Interview Test (PIT): 40 per cent

• Personal Interview (PI): 30 per cent

This score will be applicable for MA in Human Resource Management & Labour Relations (HRM &LR) and/or MA in Organisation Development, Change and Leadership (ODCL) courses.
