University of Strathclyde launched its first overseas campus in India
India and Scotland are aiming at enhancing their relations in the field of education. Strathclyde Business School and Indian infrastructure firm SKIL has collaborated with each other to enhance the level of education. As a continuation of this move, Scotland's Education Minister Michael Russell, has inaugurated the first campus of a Scottish university in Greater Noida. 
Russell stated that this first overseas Scottish campus in India will intensify the links between the Scottish and Indian higher education institutions. He added that there is a growing demand for high quality higher education in India.
SKIL is an infrastructure development company, which has recently entered into the education sector, and has joined hands with University of Strathclyde, Business school in Scotland. This joint venture will offer a undergraduate course Bachelor in Business Studies (BBS) and a postgraduate course Masters in Management (MIM) and the Master Business Administration (MBA) program. These programs will start in 2013.
The campus is at the early stages of development and the courses are tailor-made, keeping in mind the India's flourishing business sector and combo of academics from India and the United Kingdom.
