MIT Shillong offers a two-year MBA programme spread across four semesters. To be eligible, candidates must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate marks and demonstrate proficiency in English. With 45% marks, candidates do not qualify for admission. Selection is based on scores from entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, or a university-specific test.

William Carey University is a private institution established in 1892. The University in Shillong was established in 2005 by the Government of Meghalaya and named after William Carey, a renowned English Baptist missionary. Both WCU and CMJ universities offer undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in art, commerce, science, management, engineering, design, and animation.
