AIPMT 2014: Exam Analysis

The most prestigious Medical Entrance Exam AIPMT 2014 held today at various exam centers across nation from 10 am to 1 pm.
According to information, as many as 6, 16,982 candidates have registered for the exam but around 5, 79,604 aspirants are actually expected to take the exam. Out of these, the total number of female candidates scheduled to take for the exam is 3, 21,322.
The number of questions in the paper was 180 and it was of 720 marks. Each question was of 4 marks and 1 mark would be deducted for each wrong answer.
PHYSICS
Overall Physics question paper was average but slightly difficult and lengthy than last year examination. Around 15% questions were complex and 60% questions were average and remaining questions were easy.
CHEMISTRY
Overall Chemistry question paper was average and it was an easy paper than last year. All four Options in 2 questions (1 from Organic and 1 from Inorganic) were incorrect so in these 2 questions, 4 marks should be given to all students.
BIOLOGY
It was a standard paper. Few question had close and tricky options. A normal student will find around 10% questions difficult to attempt because information given in such questions were not provided in NCERT text books.
