Board of Intermediate Education to introduce NEET-friendly textbooks for 12th class science students

The Board of Intermediate Education (Andhra Pradesh) will launch its NEET compatible textbooks for the fresh batch of 10+2 science students, reported Deccan Herald. The books are introduced to enable them to prepare for the national common entrance tests for medical and engineering admission, namely the NEET and ISEET.

The textbooks will be available by 15th April and 15th May for English medium Telugu medium students respectively.

The first NEET for MBBS admissions is scheduled to be held in 2014, whereas the first ISEET which will replace IIT-JEE, AIEEE and others, conducted by state for engineering admissions, will be conducted in 2013. This indicates that the existing EAMCET will become irrelevant in two years.

The board has made several additions and deletion in the existing textbooks to match the new exam syllabus. (Read more...)
