Chhattisgarh PMT Paper Leak: 78 Arrested
In another major setback to thousands of students, Chhattisgarh PMT Paper became victim to the Leakage monster. On Sunday, 19th June, 2011, the Chhattisgarh PMT was called off in
Bilaspur district. Nearly 78 people were arrested in connection with the Chhattisgarh PMT Paper Leak, which also comprised students of medical and dental colleges. According to the examination authorities, the new dates will be announced soon. About 22,000 students were suppose to appear at 48 centres across the state for this examination
According to additional SP, Raipur, Lal Umed Singh the police raided a house in Takhatpur village, in Bilaspur where it was found that nearly 80 PMT aspirants were being tutored, with the help of the leaked paper.
Previously, the PMT paper was scheduled to take place in May 11, but was deferred because some questions were already asked in the UP Pre-Medical Test. Moreover, last month, the exam was declared cancelled owing to the fact than 80 percent questions were found to be that of Uttar Pradesh State Public Service Commission examination and the solved questions were lifted directly from the website.
The security of the Board office here has been strengthened due to the possibility of an attack by angry students.
