PGET or Post Graduate Entrance Test 2012 will be conducted by RGUHS or Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Entrance 2012 on 29 January 2012 from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM in Bangalore. The selected students for PG Degree and Diploma courses in Medical subjects and PG Degree and Diploma courses in Dental subjects will be admitted into Private Medical / Dental colleges of Karnataka for the academic year 2012-2013. The admission process is entirely dependent on the performance of the PGET 2012 written entrance.

Eligibility:

Candidates interested in taking this examination must fulfill the following criteria:

  • He/She is a citizen of India.
  • He/She must have studied and passed the courses leading to the award of MBBS/BDS Degrees in colleges recognized by Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India and Government of India established by law and located in Karnataka State; or
  • Candidate must be of Karnataka origin who has studied MBBS/BDS degrees in colleges outside Karnataka recognized by Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India and Government of India and affiliated to any University established by law in India.
  • He/She has completed or is completing compulsory rotatory internship on or before 30th April of the year in which application for entrance test is called for subject to completion of internship course.
  • A candidate, who is already holding a Post-Graduate degree in any specialty, shall not be eligible to appear for test for admission to any Post Graduate Degree/Diploma courses.
  • Must be less than 45 years of age as on the date of admission to Postgraduate course.

PGET 2012 written test is of 3 hours duration and consists of 200 Multiple Choice Questions. There will be 8 versions of the question paper which will vary from students per se. This written test is based on the syllabus prescribed for MBBS / BDS under MCI/DCI Regulations of RGUHS Ordinances. Each correct answer carries one mark and there is no negative marking.

The results for the written test will be declared on 13 February 2012 for which the candidates must keep a check on the official website.
