Common Entrance Test (CET) which was scheduled for the first week of May, will be postponed by two weeks, Director Pre-University V Rashmi Mahesh told The Indian Express. CET is conducted for the selection of students for admission into professional courses in Karnataka.

 

According to Rashmi Mahesh, the delay is due to the question paper leak and strike by PU teachers for higher pay package. The entrance exam will now be conducted probably on 21st, 22nd and 23rd May instead of 3rd, 4th, and 5th May.

 

She told the Indian Express that in wake of the delay, Pre University second year answer sheet valuation will last till 29th April and is likely to stretch up to 4th May.

 

PU lecturers correspond to CET procedures and contribute in dispatching hall tickets and question papers, reported the Hindu. They are also in charge of invigilation and moreover, CET is conducted in some of the colleges where evaluation is taking place. (Read more)
