CMA Intermediate results for December 2025 term is to be released tomorrow, February 11. The Institute of Cost Accountants of India conducted the CMA Dec 2025 exam from December 10 to 17. Based on the exam analysis, CMA Inter pass percentage for students who took both groups will likely lie between 8 per cent and 10 per cent. For those who appeared only for Group 1, CMA Dec 2025 Inter pass percentage is expected to range from 10 per cent to 12 per cent. In the past sessions, Group 2 results have encountered higher passing trends compared to Group 1 of CMA Intermediate course.
These low pass percentage in CMA Inter exam can be due to difficulty level of few subjects. In CMA group 1, Taxation is considered as the most challenging. Taxation has a vast syllabus and requires in-depth practical application. In Group 2 of CMA Intermediate course, Management Accounting is a major hurdle for most CMA students. Management Accounting requires decision-making, marginal costing, and transfer pricing.
Besides the difficulty level of CMA Inter subject papers, individual preparation habits can also tend to change in the result trends. Some of the common issues include:
- Selective Study: Several candidates choose to study only specific topics or chapters while skipping others.
- Lack of Writing Practice: Students often "audit" their books by reading solutions instead of practising the actual writing of answers. CMA Inter exam requires candidates to write lengthy answers to obtain full marks.
- Neglecting Theory: Subjects like Management Accounting and Financial Management have vast theory components.
- Underestimating Difficulty: Many candidates mistakenly treat professional CMA exams like university-level exams, failing to develop the depth of understanding required to pass. Several sources claim ICMAI CMA to be among the toughest exams in the world.

No. CMA results are released within 3 months of the exam date. as per the CMA test structure, the CMA Foundation exam is held as an OMR based test. Therefore, candidates are evaluated only after they have submitted their OMR based answer sheets. On the contrary, CMA exams for Intermediate and Final courses have subjective questions. Therefore, evaluating the performance of each candidate can be done via a subject matter expert.
Therefore, candidates cannot check the CMA results immediately after the submitting their answer sheets.
CMA results are declared for all the CMA students who appear for the exam as per the stipulated dates. The results for all three levels of CMA exam are issued online on the official exam website. Candidates need to provide login credentials, including their registration number to check the CMA results for Foundation, Intermediate or Final course level. ICMAI releases the CMA results separately for Foundation course. While the results for both Intermediate and Final exams are released on the same day.
ICMAI does not entertain any requests for offline showcase of the CMA results. Therefore, candidates can check the results from the official website only.

CMA Foundation results are released comparatively early. Owing to a MCQ based question pattern in CMA Foundation exam, the results for CMA foundation are typically released within a month of the exam date.
