COVID-19 pandemic: ICSI CS June 2020 exam postponed; to be conducted from July 6

The Institute of Company Secretaries has postponed ICSI CS June 2020 exam due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The exam will now be conducted from July 6. The revised schedule of ICSI CS June exam will be announced soon. The official notice reads, “ICSI, after due consideration of the prevalent situation and subsequent lockdown, has decided to postpone its examinations (June 2020 session) of Foundation, Executive and Professional Programme scheduled to be held from June 1 to 10, 2020. The exam will now commence from July 6.”

Earlier, ICSI had re-opened the application form following the complaints raised by candidates. They could fill the application form till April 23. CSEET registration will close on May 5.

Registered candidates will be issued ICSI CS admit card 2020 few days before the exam. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter the required credentials.

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, constituted under Company Secretaries Act, 1980, is a government recognized body which produces Company Secretaries in India.

The course of Company Secretaryship was introduced in 1960 by the Company Law Board. The ICSI was created in 1968 which took over from the Company Law Board to conduct the exam. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) was then converted into a statutory body w.e.f. 1.1.1981 under the Company Secretaries Act, 1980. The CS certification includes three levels: Foundation Programme, Executive Programme and Professional Programme.
