ICSI Exam Fee Structure
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, constituted under Company Secretaries Act, 1980, is a government recognized body which produces Company Secretaries in India.
The course of Company Secretaryship was introduced in 1960 by the Company Law Board. The ICSI was created in 1968 which took over from the Company Law Board to conduct the exam. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) was then converted into a statutory body w.e.f. 1.1.1981 under the Company Secretaries Act, 1980.
The CS certification includes three levels of which one has to appear for three exams:

Professional Programme
Every candidate, who are declared 'pass' in Professional Programme Examination in addition to acquiring practical experience, shall be required to undergo compulsory practical training for four months.

ICSI 2019 Eligibility Criteria
Foundation Programme
- Any candidate who has completed Higher Secondary or completed Class 12 in any subject, is eligible for Company Secretaryship but such students will have to clear all the three levels.
- Candidates who have completed Graduation in any stream except Fine Arts are eligible for the CS course. Such candidates are exempted from the Foundation Programme. They will have to clear only, Executive Programme and Professional Programme.
Executive Programme
- The candidate's age must not be less than 17 years on the date of application.
- The candidate shall have either passed the Foundation Programme examination of the Institute or is eligible for exemption there from.
Exemption from passing the Foundation Programme examination
A candidate possessing any of the following qualifications will be exempted from passing the Foundation Programme.
- A degree or master’s degree in any discipline (other than Fine Arts); or
- Pass in the Foundation examination of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI-CMA) or Common Proficiency Test (CPT) conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or any other Accountancy Institution recognized in India or abroad.
Non-commerce candidates who seek exemption from the Foundation Programme examination will be provided study material of four subjects of the Foundation Programme, for self-study to acquire the basic knowledge of the related subjects.
Qualifying cutoff:
- A candidate shall be declared 'pass' in Both Modules of the Executive Programme examination if he/she secures at one sitting, a minimum of forty percent marks in each paper and fifty percent marks in aggregate of all the papers put together
- If the candidate has passed in any one Module of Executive Programme examination held under the old syllabus, secures at one sitting a minimum of forty percent marks in each paper and fifty percent marks in the aggregate of all papers.
- For One Module the candidate will be declared ‘pass’ on securing at one sitting, a minimum of forty percent marks in each paper and fifty percent marks in the aggregate of all papers.
Professional Programme
Professional Programme is the final level in Company Secretaryship. Candidates who have cleared their Foundation and Executive Programmes are eligible to undertake Professional Programme.
Eligibility:
The candidate is supposed to register for the Professional Programme nine months prior to the month in which the examination commences to be able to be admitted to the programme.
A candidate registered six months prior to the examination month may be allowed to appear in any one or two module(s) of the Professional Programme.
The candidate must have undergone postal or oral tuition for the modules in which he/she intends to appear in the examination.

Qualifying cutoff:
For all Modules:
- A candidate will be declared passed if he/she secures in one sitting a minimum of 40 percent in each of the papers and 40 percent in aggregate of all the papers.
- A candidate will be declared passed is he/she has passed any one or more modules of Professional examination under old syllabus, and secures in one sitting at least 40% marks in each of the remaining papers and 50% marks in aggregate.
For one Module:
- The candidate is required to secure a minimum of 40% marks in each of the papers and 50% percent marks in aggregate, will be declared ‘pass’ in the Professional Programme.
- If a candidate who has failed in one subject, but got a minimum of 60% of the total marks of the remaining subjects of the module, shall be declared ‘pass’ if he/she secures a minimum of 50% in retest.

ICSI Exam Fee Structure
Admissions are open throughout the year and the examination is held twice a year, in June and December.

Late fee is Rs 250.
Fee concession:
Candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes categories are required to pay half the amount of total application fee.
Only Registration/ Admission Fee will be charged from physically handicapped students. They will have to pay only 25% of the examination fee charged from General category candidates.
Compulsory Practical Training:
Every candidate who will be declared ‘pass’ in Professional Programme Examination in addition to acquiring practical experience, shall be required to undergo compulsory practical training for four months.
ICSI Exam Centres 2019
The list of ICSI exam centres has been released for December 2019 exam. The institute has opened new examination centres at seven cities for CS Foundation Programme exam. Candidates can opt for the new examination centres while erolling for December 2019 exam.
ICSI exam is conducted at more than 100 examination centres in India and one in Dubai.
Candidates desiring to appear from overseas Examination Centre at Dubai are required to pay in addition to the examination fee, surcharge which presently is US$100 or its equivalent amount in Indian Currency.
Test centers are allotted by the institute. In case any candidate wishes to get their center change, they will have to submit an application along with Rs 250 as fee, to the institute at least 15 days before the exam date.

ICSI Exam 2019 Application Form
The cut off date for registration to CS executive/professional programme for appearing in all modules of June 2020 is August 31.
The enrollment process for appearing in December 2019 examination has begun from August 25. Candidates can apply for the exam without late fees is September 25. Candidates can enroll for the exam with late fee from October 10. Candidates can apply for paper-wise exemption on the basis of qualification for December 2019 exam is October 10. Qualifying Marks
Qualifying marks for Foundation / Executive / Professional examination is a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate of all subjects.

- A candidate is required to complete the Executive and the Professional examination within the registration period.

ICSI Exam 2019 Results
The institute of Companies Secretaries of India has announced CS Professional and Executive programmes result on August 25. Candidates can access their ICSI 2019 result online from the official website. To check the result, candidates need to enter roll number and registration number. Along with the result, the examination authority has also released candidate’s subject-wise break-up of marks All India Provisional Merit List for both new and old syllabus.
