ICSI Announces Major Restructuring of CSEET; New Syllabus & Pattern From June 2026

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India has announced major restructuring of CSEET exam pattern and syllabus which will be effective from June 2026. ICSI will conduct last examination under remote proctored mode in January 2026. June 2026 onwards, the exam will be held three times in a year- February, June and October session. Earlier, ICSI used to conduct CSEET four times in a year- January, May, July and November in remote proctored mode. June 2026 onwards, CSEET exam will be held in offline mode. Candidates will be required to report at alloted exam centre.
ICSI will commence CSEET registrations June 2026 on December 16, 2025. Candidates will be able to apply for June 2026 session till February 15. Candidates registering for the exam will be required to enroll for the exam on given date and time. In enrollment process, candidates will be required to pay the enrollment fee of INR 1500 for each session. ICSI has revised the CSEET exam fee structure. Read here to know complete details.
ICSI CSEET Revised Pattern Highlights
- CSEET Exam will now be held in offline mode at alloted exam centres. The exam will be held from 2.30 PM to 5.45 PM.
- The paper will be held for each subject on different days
- CSEET exam will be held in three sessions- February, June and October
- ICSI will release the CSEET time table for each session
- Each subject will now carry 100 marks
- CSEET registration will be valid for three years from the date of registration
- CSEET fee has been revised to INR 7500 (CSEET Registration) and INR 1500 (CSEET enrollment)

No, there is no sectional time limit in CSEET exam. The CSEET exam is conducted for a duration of two hours. Candidates must solve the 140 MCQs within given time. Candidates can attempt any section first.
No, there will be no negative marking in CSEET exam. For every correct answer candidates will be given one or two marks for each question.

- Subpart A- Legal Aptitude - 30 marks
- Subpart B- Logical Reasoning- 20 marks
