Nepal Protest: ICAI Postpones CA Final, CA Intermediate Examinations in Kathmandu

The ICAI in its notice has stated that the Chartered Accountants Final and Intermediate Examinations to be held on 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th September 2025 stand postponed in Kathmandu Nepal) only.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has issued an important notice amidst ongoing protest and violence in Nepal. The ICAI has announced postponement of Chartered Accountants Final and Intermediate Examinations, scheduled to be held in September in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The ICAI in its notice has stated that the Chartered Accountants Final and Intermediate Examinations to be held on 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th September 2025 stand postponed in Kathmandu Nepal) only.
The institute has stated that the revised dates shall be announced in due course.
ICAI announcement reads: “It is announced for general information that in view of the widespread protests in Nepal, the Chartered Accountants Final and Intermediate Examinations to be held on 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th September 2025 stand postponed in Kathmandu (Nepal) only. Revised dates shall be announced in due course.”
ICAI has also stated that however, it is clarified that other particulars / details as announced vide Important announcement dated 30th May 2025 hosted on www.icai.org shall remain unchanged.
“In short, students may note that there is no change in the schedule of Chartered Accountants. Examinations announced earlier with respect to other cities / countries / centres,” it states.
