AIIMS Bathinda: PG students protest after being told that their course is not approved
The PG students of AIIMS Bathinda protested outside the OPD wing of the hospital after being told that their course is not approved.
The postgraduate students of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bathinda protested outside the OPD wing of the hospital. They alleged that after six months of taking admission in the PG course at AIIMS Bathinda, they have been told that the institute does not have approval for their seats.
As per the Tribune India report, the PG students are saying that the institute authorities should have known this at the time of admission. The students said that they got the seats after clearing the national level entrance examination and on July 21 they were told that the course under which they have taken admission at AIIMS Bathinda is not approved and there is no clarity on when the course will get approval.
The students say that informing them about this in the middle of their course is unjustified.
Students demand approval of the course
The PG students are demanding that either their course should be given approval or some provision should be made so that their course gets completed on time. Director Dr DK Singh said they would resolve the issue soon.
As per the report, as many as 50 PG students had joined this course but six students had left and the remaining 44 students are affected by this latest development.
