CBSE has rejected any speculation that claimed the CBSE 12th board exam 2021 is going to be cancelled.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has rejected any speculation that claims that the CBSE 12th exam is going to be cancelled. The board refuted media reports by saying that no decision has been taken regarding CBSE 12th examination as against speculations made in certain sections of media. It told that any decision taken regarding the exam will officially be communicated to the public via official website.
This clarification comes in response to the campaigns and the hashtag that suggest that board exams might get scraped for the year 2020-21. Amid rising covid19 cases, several students have raised online campaigns demanding CBSE to cancel Class 12th board exams.
In view of rising covid19 cases, CBSE had decided to postpone the CBSE class 12 board examinations which were scheduled to be conducted between May 4 and June 14. It was informed that the final decision of conduct of exam will be announced on June 1 after assessing the situation. The board also announced that due dates for the examination will be released 15 days before the commencement of exams.
Earlier today, advocate Mamta Sharma filed a petition in Supreme Court seeking cancellation of the CBSE class 12 board examination 2021. The petition suggests coming up with an objective methodology to declare results instead of conducting class 12th examination. However, the final decision on the same is pending by the court.
