Biotechnology at most universities in India. Generally, admission to B.Sc. Biotechnology programs in universities in India is based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination (12th board), followed by an entrance examination, if required. The eligibility criteria for admission may vary from one university to another. Most universities have a minimum percentage requirement for admission, which is usually in the range of 50-60% for the general category candidates. In your case, if the cutoff for admission to the B.Sc. Biotechnology programme at North Odisha University, Baripada is around 75% or lower, then you may be eligible for admission to the programme. However, you should also keep in mind that admission cutoffs may vary from year to year and depend on various factors such as the number of seats available, the number of applicants, and the performance of the candidates. I would recommend you visit the official website of North Odisha University, Baripada, or contact the admission office of the university directly to get the latest information about admission cutoffs and eligibility criteria for the B.Sc. Biotechnology programme. Please upvote if it was helpful.

Different scholarships have different eligibility criteria, and some scholarships may require a higher percentage than others. In general, scholarships are awarded based on merit, which means that the higher your academic performance, the better your chances of getting a scholarship. Typically, scholarships are awarded to students who have scored a minimum of 60% to 80% in their 12th grade examinations. However, there are some scholarship programs that may require a higher percentage, such as 90% or above. It's important to note that academic performance is not the only criterion for getting a scholarship. Some scholarships may consider other factors such as financial need, extracurricular activities, community service, leadership, and other achievements. Therefore, it's best to research different scholarship programs that you are eligible for and check their specific eligibility criteria to determine the percentage required for a scholarship. However, you will need to check the eligibility criteria of the education board where you want to appear for the 12th board exams. Some education boards allow candidates to appear for the board exams privately, while others may not. You will also need to check if the education board allows candidates to change their stream in the 12th standard. If the education board allows both, you can appear for the 12th board exams again in the stream of your choice as a private candidate. Additionally, you will need to check the rules of your current university regarding a gap year. Some universities allow students to take a gap year for various reasons, while others may not. If your university allows a gap year, you can take the year off to prepare for the 12th board exams. It is advisable to research the specific requirements and procedures for appearing as a private candidate for the 12th board exams in your desired education board and speak with an academic advisory at your current university to determine the feasibility of taking a gap year.
