CBSE 12th Result Error Correction: What Education Ministry Said?
Ministry of Education Secretary, Sanjay Kumar said, “We will charge a fee of INR 100 from any student who wishes to view their answer sheets. A separate fee of INR 100 applies if students wish to have their papers validated. A fee of INR 25 applies for re-checking or re-evaluation of the answer to any specific question. It is decided that during the scrutiny process, if a student's marks increase or are revised upwards, we will refund the entire amount paid by them for the re-evaluation.”
Talking about CBSE On-Screen Marking, Ministry said that during the scanning process, three levels of security were maintained. After this process, the security coding and numbering of the answer sheets were checked so that the answer sheets could be sent securely anywhere. This is not the first time on-screen marking has been adopted by CBSE. It was introduced in 2014.
Earlier Controller of Examination, Sanyam Bhardwaj said that approximately 1.25 crore answer scripts were evaluated and there is a possibility that error may occur somewhere. To rectify such errors, board offers the re-evaluation facility to students. The rechecking window will open from May 19.
