CBSE Board Exam 2026: Schools Now Need Not to Ask for Counter-signature of TCs; Details

CBSE schools will not be required to ask for the countersignature of the transfer certificate. Earlier, the board had discontinued the practice of countersignature of TCs from one school to another. Check CBSE's latest news and updates about the board exam and dates for class 10 and 12 exams. 

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has notified all CBSE-affiliated schools not to send any request for countersignature of transfer certificates (TCs) to the headquarters or regional offices. As per the media reports, the board has earlier discontinued the requirement of countersignature of the TCs from one CBSE-affiliated school to another. 

Further, the officials from the CBSE Examination Controller have mentioned that the CBSE headquarters and regional offices still get countersignatures of transfer certificates requests and non-compliance with CBSE guidelines is causing inconvenience to stakeholders. He further mentioned that all schools are reminded that there is no need for countersignature of any transfer certificate, as reported by the Indian Express.

Students who are willing to know the CBSE time table 2026 class 12 must note that the board has released the time table online.
