HPBOSE has decided to standardise Class 10 and 12 question papers for all series (A, B & C) from the 2026 exams onwards to ensure fairness for all students across subjects.
HPBOSE had earlier prescribed three sets of question paper series (A, B & C) for English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science & Technology, Social Science, and Sanskrit subjects in class 10 and English, History, Economics, Political Science, Hindi, Sanskrit, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Accountancy, and Business Studies in class 12. Because of having multiple sets, one group of students often had an easy set of questions while some may have had tough ones, resulting in injustice to the students.
HPBOSE Board Exam 2026: Question Paper to Standardised
To address this concern, the HPBOSE Chairman has approved a reform to standardise the question paper content. As per the revised HPBOSE exam pattern, all three series (A, B, and C) will now have the same set of questions. However, the order of the questions will be shuffled or jumbled to maintain the integrity of the exam.
The standardisation will ensure that each student faces the same level of difficulty and is judged on the same level. This will further promote equality and transparency in the examination process. The board has clarified that the new HPBOSE exam pattern will be implemented from the current academic session and will be applicable for all affiliated schools in Himachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the board will announce the class 10 and 12 board exam date sheet shortly on its official website. Students will be able to check the class 10 and 12 exam timetable at hpbose.org.
