CBSE has already announced a formula for evaluating marks for Class 12 students. They will be determined by their performance in classes 10, 11 and 12 a ratio 30:30:40 respectively.
In a hearing by Supreme Court, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) informed that it will conduct the optional exams tentatively between Aug 15 and Sep 15, subject to conducive situation while disputed marks will be referred to a committee constituted by the CBSE.
It added that the Board will announce the CBSE 12th Result 2021 by July 31.

The CISCE will also take into account the overall performance of schools in the last six years, as per the evaluation criteria submitted before the SC.
A 13-member team was constituted to derive the formula to assess Class 12 students.
CBSE had decided to cancel the Class 12 exams 2021 due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, following which CISCE and many other state boards like Haryana, Maharashtra, Punjab, Assam, Tripura, West Bengal etc also cancelled their 12th exams.
