CISCE will soon announce the decision on the conduct of ICSE and ISC exams 2021. Read on to know more
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) said that it is reviewing the COVID19 situation across the country and will soon decide on the conduct of ICSE, ISC examinations 2021.
The CISCE announcement comes after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) decided to cancel the CBSE 10th exams 2021 and postpone the CBSE 12th exams 2021. CBSE will review the situation on June 1 and announce the next step for Class 12 exams.
ICSE 10th exams 2021 are scheduled between May 4 and June 7 while ISC exams have begun from April 8. The last ISC exam is scheduled for June 18.
CICSE Chief Executive and Secretary Gerry Arathoon said, "We are reviewing the situation and will soon take a decision in this regard."
He, however, did not delve into what the board was contemplating.
Following the CBSE’s decision, many state boards too have postponed the board examinations. Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh boards have already postponed the examinations while Punjab is considering deferring them. However, state boards like Meghalaya have decided to go ahead with the conduct of board examinations as planned.
Students preparing for the examinations must get familiar with the exam pattern, and try and solve as many previous years’ question papers as possible. These will make them familiar with the marking scheme, and the types of questions asked in the exams.
