Delhi Govt schools record highest pass percentage in 5 years at 97.92%, reveals CM Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter on July 14 to congratulate all the students for their CBSE 12th Results 2020. He said that the Delhi government schools have achieved 97.92% pass percentage in the CBSE 12th Results 2020 which is the highest ever so far (in the past 5 years). The Delhi government schools have improved their performance and have surpassed the private schools for the fifth time in a row. He also addressed the media along with Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia regarding the same.

Arvind Kejriwal's tweet on CBSE 12th Result 2020

“I don’t think the combined CBSE 12th Result of states across India could have ever matched this figure in our history,” he said. The Chief Minister further said that students from Delhi’s government schools have entered India’s mainstream and are doing exceptionally well across various fields. He also said that of the total 916 government schools in Delhi, over 300 schools have reported 100% pass results in CBSE 12th exams this year. 

CBSE 12th Result 2020 was declared on July 13, 2020, at 12:30 pm on the official CBSE website. The overall pass percentage was recorded at 88.78% this year for Class 12. The pass percentage has jumped by 5.38% against last year’s 83.40%.
However, the CBSE 12th Result 2020 for 400 students is still pending as CBSE was unable to compute it as per the decided marking scheme. The Board will be announcing the CBSE 12th Result 2020 for these students later.

CBSE has also decided to not release merit list this year.
