Mr. Pokhriyal also shared that conducting the exams amidst the COVID-19 pandemic was nothing less than a challenge.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal conduct a live session to interact with students and parents on December 3, from 12 pm, in order to discuss details of the upcoming CBSE, ICSE and other board exams along with competitive exams such as JEE and NEET. Students who want to reach out can share their concerns or suggestions on Twitter by using #EducationMinisterGoesLive. Considering the ongoing uncertain times due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, on November 27, Mr Pokhriyal stated that the competitive and board exams would be conducted next year only after proper consultation with students, teachers and parents. A campaign is being launched for the same as well.

According to a reputed source, the minister said, β€œI will have an interaction with parents, students and teachers in this regard and exams will only be conducted based on the outcome of the interaction." The minister via his official Twitter handle, tweeted, β€œDear students, I understand that 2020 hasn't been the best year for you & you have been worried about your future. I will be meeting you live on Dec 3 to discuss the upcoming competitive & board #exams. Share your concerns/suggestions with me using #EducationMinisterGoesLive.” Mr. Pokhriyal also shared that conducting the exams amidst the COVID-19 pandemic was nothing less than a challenge.

β€œDespite the uncertainty looming around due to Covid-19 pandemic, it is crucial to conduct board examinations as well as entrance examinations for admission to higher educational institutions,” Pokhriyal told reporters. He further added,β€œI understand that 2020 hasn’t been the best year for students and they are worried about their future. I will be meeting the students live on December 3 to discuss the upcoming competitive and board exams."
