The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) had announced its decision to postpone the board examinations for classes 10 and 12 last month due to a huge spike in coronavirus cases. The state government had also decided to release the revised date sheet on or after May 15, 2021, after reviewing the COVID situation. Hence, the decision on GSEB 10th and GSEB 12th is expected to be out in a week's time.
"The new Gujarat Board exam dates 2021 will be announced after reviewing the coronavirus situation on May 15," read the official tweet by CMO Gujarat.
However, due to a huge surge in COVID-19 cases in the state, All Gujarat Parent’s Association has filed a PIL at the Gujarat HC to cancel the Gujarat Class 10 examination. The state board must think of an alternate internal assessment process for giving promotion to the students, read the PIL.
GSEB Time Table 2021 for classes 10 and 12 was earlier released on February 3, 2021, according to which, the GSEB Class 12 examinations were scheduled to begin on May 10 and conclude on May 25. For GSEB 12th Science stream, the examinations were to be conducted between May 10 and May 21, 2021. For Class 10, the examinations were scheduled from May 10 to May 20, 2021.
