Haryana Board cancelled the HBSE Class 12 exams 2021 shortly after the centre announced the cancellation of CBSE 12th exams due to the ongoing pandemic situation.
The Haryana government decided to cancel the HBSE 12th exams 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic situation, informed the State Education Minister Kanwar Pal. The decision came shortly after the Centre announced the cancellation of CBSE 12th board exams.
The state will soon release the assessment criteria to evaluate students and calculate results.
"We have also decided to cancel the Class 12 board exams in the state which were to be conducted by the Haryana Board of School Education. We are going with the decision taken by the Centre and have decided to cancel the board exams," Pal informed PTI.
The Board of Secondary Education Haryana (BSEH) will take steps to compile the HBSE 12th results 2021 and modalities for this will be worked out soon, he added.
Earlier on April 15, the Haryana government had cancelled the HBSE 10th exams. It had then decided to postpone the exams of Class 12. The state board exams were earlier scheduled to start in April and continue till mid-May before these were cancelled and postponed.
CBSE and CISCE had announced the cancelation of Class 12 exams in the evening of June 1 amid ongoing pandemic situation. Other states are expected to announce their decision on the conduct of the Class 12th board exams soon. Students must watch this space to stay updated for the release of any official announcement.
