ICSE 10th exams have been cancelled. The board has reversed the earlier decision of postponing the exam amid surge in coronavirus cases.
The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) announced the cancellation of ICSE exams 2021, reversing the earlier decision to defer them and giving students an option to take them at a later date. However, ISC 12th exams 2021 stands postponed, stated the board.
“The CISCE has decided to cancel the ICSE exams 2021, given the present worsening situation of COVID19 pandemic in the country. The options given in the earlier circular, now stand withdrawn. The safety and well-being of our students and teachers is of topmost priority and of paramount interest,” the council said in a statement.
Further, the council directed all CISCE affiliated schools to begin admissions for class 11. “In addition, schools should prepare a schedule to begin online classes for Class 11 students. The syllabus to be followed is that of ISC 2021 syllabus,” notice added.
The final decision on the conduct of ISC exams 2021 will be taken in the first week of June after reviewing the situation. In the meantime, students must practice, solve and analyze the previous years’ ISC question papers for better preparation of the exam. These will make them familiar with the exam pattern, marking scheme and the types of questions asked in the examinations. Students must watch this space to stay updated for the release of new ISC time table 2021.
