CISCE is working to finalise the dates for ICSE 10th and ISC 12th board exams 2021
Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is likely to hold the pre-board examinations of ICSE and ISC from January 10 in Lucknow.
Two pre-board examinations will be conducted in schools before the final exams of ICSE (10th) and ISC (12th) in Lucknow. The first pre board examination is likely to begin from 10 January 2021 while the second pre-board examinations are planned to be conducted in the last week of February 2021. CISCE is gearing to conduct ICSE and ISC board examinations in April 2021. In view of this, the Unaided Private School Association has prepared a suggestive program.
According to noted media reports, the board is making efforts to finalise the dates for ICSE 10th and ISC 12th exam 2021. Board exams are likely to be scheduled in the month of April or May.
The Chief Executive and Secretary Council for the CISCE wrote to the Chief Election Commissioner of India to share the poll schedule of the States where elections are due in April and May so the date sheet for board exams can be finalised accordingly.
The council also asked all the State Chief Ministers to allow schools to reopen partially from January onwards, particularly for students of Classes 10 and 12, who have their boards.
Last year, the ICSE, ISC board examinations were scheduled in February and March but had to be cancelled in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. All the schools across the country were closed in March to contain the spread of the disease. Schools were then partially reopened in some States from October 15. However, many states have decided to keep them closed in view of rising cases of COVID19.
