The CISCE has postponed the ICSE 10th, and ISC 12th exams 2021 due to a surge in COVID cases. The revised exam schedule will be announced on the first week of June.
Following the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)'s decision to cancel and postpone the classes 10, 12 exams respectively, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has postponed the ICSE, ISC exams 2021. The board will announce the new exam schedule for 10th, 12th in the first week of June. 'Class 10 students can choose between offline exams and alternative criterion evaluation', said CISCE.
According to a board official, "The decision on whether to cancel or postpone the ICSE, ISC exams are expected to be taken this week, considering the concern of the students, parents due to COVID19 pandemic situation."
"As ISC exams have already started from April 8, it is likely to be postponed," the official informed. According to the ICSE and ISC time table 2021, the class 10 exams were scheduled to be conducted from May 5 to June 7, while the class 12 exams were to conclude on June 16.
The students need to score a minimum 33 per cent marks to clear ICSE exam, while 40 per cent marks in each subject as well as aggregate for to pass ISC exam.
