JKBOSE 10th exam pattern 2021 has been revised for 2020-21 Oct-Nov and March-April 2021-22 examinations.
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Secondary Education (JKBOSE) has revised the JKBOSE 10th exams assessment scheme for the next examination cycle. This new exam pattern will be adopted from the academic session 2020 - 2021 to be held in (October-November) 2021 in winter zone areas of the Jammu division, Kashmir division and the Union Territory, Ladakh. The same has been stated in an official notification which has been released on the official website of the state board. "As per the new scheme, 20% marks (20 Marks out of total 100 marks) have been kept reserved for internal assessment, to assess students in a diverse manner, at different times and also to observe and examine a broad range of curriculum objectives. Henceforth, the theory paper will be of 80 marks only, while as 20 marks will be kept for the internal assessment on the analogy of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)," reads the official notification. It further states that the pattern/design of Question papers has also been modified and while taking into consideration the parameters which are analytical approach, critical thinking and objectivity etc. for the Annual (Regular) examination scheduled to be held in (October-November) 2021 in Kashmir Division/Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division/ UT of Ladakh and (Feb-March) 2022 in Summer Zone areas of Jammu Division. Students must carefully go through the revised JKBOSE 10th exam pattern.

The Examination of reappear/failure candidates on the old pattern of question papers shall continue to be held for only two (subsequent examinations) after the declaration of Annual (Regular) 2020 results of Winter Zone areas and Annual (Regular) 2021 results in Summer Zone areas of Jammu Division.
The revision of the pattern and syllabus will be effective from October-November 2020-21 session for Kashmir Division / Jammu Division / Ladakh (Winter Zone) and Jammu Division (Summer Zone) for the March-April 2021-22 examinations.
