Karnataka SSLC exams will be conducted in July third week, while 2nd PUC exams have been cancelled.
Amid speculations of Karnataka SSLC, 2nd PUC exams being postponed, the State Education Minister Suresh Kumar on June 4 has announced that the Karnataka 2nd PUC exams 2021 have been cancelled while the state board will be conducting the Karnataka SSLC examinations 2021 in the third week of July, if the situation is feasible. The state board has said that it will be releasing the Karnataka SSLC exam dates 2021 at least 20 days prior to the commencement of the examinations. The Karnataka SSLC exam pattern has also been revised, as per which the Class 10 exams will be conducted only for two papers-- one for core subjects and another for languages. The core subjects include science, maths and social sciences. While announcing the same, the minister said that the government would allocate more than 6,000 centres for the examination. Only 1 student would be seated on a desk, he shared. Further, all the invigilators or teachers on duty would be vaccinated before the examination.
All the students will have to wear N95 masks and the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued last year by the state government will be followed, the minister said. “We are not doing these exams to fail anybody,” Mr Suresh Kumar stated.
Karnataka Board's decision comes after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) cancelled their board exams for Class 12 students earlier this week.
