Karnataka SSLC Exam Pattern 2026: Check Marking Scheme & Exam Duration

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) released the Karnataka SSLC Model Question Papers 2026 on its official website -kseab.karnataka.gov.in/. The first language paper has 100 marks written exam. The rest of the subjects have 80 marks written exam and 20 marks internals. SSLC Class 10 students have to appear for three languages and three core subjects. The three languages are the First Language, Second Language and the Third Language. The three core subjects are Mathematics, Science and Social Science. All the papers are for three hours.

The name of the conducting authority of the Karnataka 10th exam is the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB). In Karnataka, Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) conducts the Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination every year in the month of March and April. The SSLC exams are conducted at the state level in three languages and three core subjects including are Science, Social Science, and Mathematics. More than 9 Lacs students appear for Class 10 Karnataka Board examinations, every year.

Students should refer to the books prescribed by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) to cover the entire Karnataka SSLC syllabus 2026. Students should learn the text books provided by the Karnataka board thoroughly. There is no need to refer to other books to learn for the SSLC exam. The Karnataka 10th exam is held for a duration of three hours without any break. 15 minutes extra time will be given for reading the question paper for all subjects. For first language and optional subjects, 3 hours is allotted for writing the exam and 15 minutes for question paper reading. The timing of the first language and core subjects is 10.30 am to 1.45 pm. Second language and third language timing is 10.30 am to 1.30 pm.
