Karnataka SSLC exams 2021 will likely be conducted in the third week of July.
Karnataka State Government has released the exam guidelines and SoPs for the conduct of Karnataka SSLC exams 2021. The Karnataka SSLC Exam 2021 guidelines were released by the Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar, who said those in charge of the exam centres should abide by the SOP. The state board plans to conduct the Karnataka SSLC Exams likely in the third week of July, for which the Karnataka Class 12 Time Table 2021 will be released 20 days prior to the commencement of the examinations.
Given below are the SOPs and guidelines released by the state board:
- Sanitization of Premises: Examination hall, and furniture therein and toilets are to be sanitized daily by the spraying of disinfectants, before and after the exam
- Spaced Seating Arrangements: The SOPS also say that only 12 children will be allowed in the examination hall and only one student will be seated at each desk to maintain physical distancing
- Isolation Exam Rooms: The Karnataka SSLC Exam 2021 SoPs also dictate that two rooms reserved for candidates suffering from cough, common cold and flu. Such candidates should be seated separately and allowed to write their exams in isolation.
- Crowd Management: The Guidelines also ask exam authorities to make detailed plan and processes for organized entry and exit of students in the exam hall, so that no crowds gather inside or outside the exam centre.
- Vaccination of Teachers, Staff Members: As part of the exam guidelines, the state government has also mandated vaccination of teachers, staff and officials involved in conducting the examination with the cooperation of the district administration.
- Exam Centre Allocation: In the rural areas, arrangements should be made to ensure that the test centres should be created in a manner that students need not go to the taluk-level to appear for the exam.
- COVID-19 Care Centre for Positive Students: The state government has also decided to help students who are COVID-19 positive on the exam-day to write SSLC Exams from a dedicated a Covid care centre. If anyone in the family is infected and the candidate is in isolation and is found to be healthy, he or she would be allowed to write the test at the nearby Covid Care Centre after testing the student.
- Thermal Scanning and Medical Aid: All students entering the exam hall should undergo mandatory thermal scanning to check for symptoms of fever. Moreover, a pulse oximeter, first aid boxes and hand sanitisers should also be made available at the entrance of the exam hall. Students would be given masks at the entrance of the health counters in the exam halls.
