Q:   Which books should I refer to prepare for the complete Karnataka SSLC Syllabus 2026?

Students should refer to the books prescribed by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) to cover the entire Karnataka SSLC syllabus 2026. Students should learn the text books provided by the Karnataka board thoroughly. There is no need to refer to other books to learn for the SSLC exam. The questions for Karnataka SSLC exam 2026 will be completed based on the text books provided by the Karnataka Education board. Q:   What are the passing marks in Karnataka SSLC exams 2026?

As per the Karnataka SSLC passing criteria for 2026, students will be declared qualified only if they meet all of the following conditions:

  • Secure an average of 33% marks, combining both internal assessments and external examinations

  • Score a minimum of 206 marks out of the total 625

  • Obtain at least 30% marks in each individual subject

Those who fail in the SSLC exam will have to write the supplementary exam. The Karnataka board will release the supplementary exam dates soon after the declaration of the Karnataka SSLC result. The supplementary examinations are usually held in the month of June/July every year.

Karnataka SSLC Pattern 2026

For the SSLC Class 10 exams, the students have to appear for three languages and three core subjects. The three languages are the First Language, Second Language and the Third Language. The three core subjects are Mathematics, Science and Social Science. Along with these, there are alternative subjects for students with a learning disability. All the papers are for three hours. Students should go through the Karnataka SSLC syllabus 2026 to know the topics properly to achieve good score in karnataka SSLC results 2026.

Languages: The students have to appear in three languages. There is a wide range of choices in the languages which the students can choose. For the Language Paper I, students can choose from Kannada, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi and Urdu. For Language Paper-II, students have a choice between Kannada and English. For Language Paper III, students have to choose from Hindi, Kannada, English, Arabic, Urdu, Sanskrit, Konkani and Tulu.

The Karnataka Board has decided to introduce ‘three annual examinations’ namely Exam 1, Exam 2 and Exam 3 for SSLC exams. Those who fail in exam 1 can appear for exam 2 and exam 3. Applications for Karnataka SSLC supplementary exams are done through schools. Students will have to pay the required fee to apply for the same. The KSEAB will announce the dates of the SSLC supplementary exam soon after the release of the SSLC result 2026. It is expected that supplementary exams will be held in May and June 2026.
