Karnataka SSLC Syllabus 2026:  The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) release Karnataka SSLC syllabus 2026 on the official website - kseab.karnataka.gov.in/. It is expected that the board will follow the last year's syllabus. If any changes are introduced, the board will release the revised Karnataka 10th Syllabus 2026 on its official website kseab.karnataka.gov.in/. Students are advised to understand the Karnataka Class 10 syllabus 2026 and prepare accordingly for the Karnataka SSLC exam. Every year around 10 lakh students appear in the SSLC Karnataka exams. A student needs to score an aggregate of 33% of the total marks to clear the Karnataka SSLC board exam. Karnataka SSLC Exam 2026 will be held from March 18 to April 2, 2026.

Q:   What is the duration of the Karnataka 10th exam?

The Karnataka 10th exam is held for a duration of three hours without any break. 15 minutes extra time will be given for reading the question paper for all subjects. For first language and optional subjects, 3 hours is allotted for writing the exam and 15 minutes for question paper reading. The timing of the first language and core subjects is 10.30 am to 1.45 pm. Second language and third language timing is 10.30 am to 1.30 pm.

Students must not carry the follow items to exam hall.

  • Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, headphones, pagers, fitness bands, cameras, etc
  • Wallets, goggles, handbags, and purses.
  • They must carry all the stationary items that are required to appear for the Karnataka 10th board exams since sharing of stationary is not allowed. 
  • Do not forget to carry your Karnataka SSLC admit card on all exam days.

Q:   Is there any change in the Karnataka SSLC Class 10 syllabus 2026?

The Karnataka board has not yet announced any changes in the Karnataka SSLC syllabus 2026. The board will release circular, if they are introducing any changes. As of now, they have not released any circular regarding Karnataka SSLC syllabus 2026. The board is expected to continue the same pattern followed last year. We will update here, if there comes any changes in the Karnataka SSLC syllabus 2026.

Q:   What to do if I fail in Karnataka SSLC exam 2026?
A: 

The Karnataka Board has decided to introduce ‘three annual examinations’ namely Exam 1, Exam 2 and Exam 3 for SSLC exams. Those who fail in exam 1 can appear for exam 2 and exam 3. Applications for Karnataka SSLC supplementary exams are done through schools. Students will have to pay the required fee to apply for the same. The KSEAB will announce the dates of the SSLC supplementary exam soon after the release of the SSLC result 2026. It is expected that supplementary exams will be held in May and June 2026.

There are 6 subjects for the Karnataka SSLC exam. Students have to appear for 3 languages. Other subjects are Science, Social studies and Mathematics. The theory exam marks is out of 80. Internal marks is of total 20 marks. The first language paper has 100 marks written exam, while the rest of the subjects have 80 marks written exam and 20 marks internals.

Q:   What are the passing marks in Karnataka SSLC exams 2026?

As per the Karnataka SSLC passing criteria for 2026, students will be declared qualified only if they meet all of the following conditions:

  • Secure an average of 33% marks, combining both internal assessments and external examinations

  • Score a minimum of 206 marks out of the total 625

  • Obtain at least 30% marks in each individual subject

Those who fail in the SSLC exam will have to write the supplementary exam. The Karnataka board will release the supplementary exam dates soon after the declaration of the Karnataka SSLC result. The supplementary examinations are usually held in the month of June/July every year.
