Kerala board exams 2021 for Classes 10th, 12th will be conducted between March 17 and March 30. The detailed timetable is yet to be released.
The Kerala government has announced that it will conduct Kerala board exams 2021 for SSLC, HSC (classes 10 and 12) from March 17 till March 30. The detailed time table is yet to be released. The examinations of all other classes have been cancelled due to the prevailing pandemic and students will be promoted further.
To pass the exam, a student is required to obtain a minimum of 35 per cent in each subject out of 100 marks. For the science subject, consisting of theory and practical examination, minimum marks to pass is 20 out of 75 in theory and 15 marks out of 25 in practical.
All schools and colleges (including professional colleges like engineering, medical, agriculture, fisheries) will reopen from January.
Last year, the Kerala Board exams were scheduled in March. Due to outbreak of COVID19, some of the papers were conducted later in May. The practical exams took place in February. The Board released the Kerala SSLC result on June 30 while Kerala Plus Two Result was announced on July 15. Over 12 lakh students appeared for the Kerala SSLC, HSC board exams.
Meanwhile, in an interactive live session conducted by the education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, he told that various states have reopened their schools maintaining the COVID19 safety protocols.
The minister said, โThe department of school education and literacy, ministry of education has already issued SOP/ guidelines for reopening of schools which deals with health and safety aspects for reopening schools and learning with physical/ social distancing and the academic aspects related to the delivery of education. Ministries are constantly in contact with states.โ โStudents will be given sufficient time to prepare for the board examinations,โ he further added.
