The state government of Kerala is considering allowing its schools to conduct annual exams through online mode for classes 9 and 11.
The Kerala state government is likely to allow schools to conduct the annual exams for classes 9 and 11 students in the online mode. The government may take decisions for online examination considering the rise in COVID19 cases in the state. Kerala State Education Department will soon be taking the decision on the same.
Many schools have already released the annual exam time tables which states that the examinations will be held in online mode. However, many schools are yet to release the exam dates for the annual examination of classes 9 and 11. These schools can now wait for the government’s decision and then can decide to either conduct the exam online or offline mode.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has already directed the affiliated schools across the country to conduct exams for classes 9 and 11 in the offline mode. It is the sole responsibility of the schools to conduct the exams under COVID19 protocols. Many other states will also be conducting the annual exam in offline mode as the schools have begun opening partially.
Considering the rising COVID19 cases in the state, Kerala schools may go for online annual examinations. However, an offline assessment test held for effective learning may be conducted when schools return to normal operations.
