MP Board 10th, 12th Syllabus Reduction: Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, MPBSE reduced the syllabus of MPBSE 10th Board Exams 2021 and MPBSE 12th Board Exam 2021. The syllabus is reduced for the academic year 2020-21 by around 30 percent keeping competitive examinations under consideration. MP Board 10th and MP Board 12th students must note that the revised syllabus would be uploaded on the official site of MPBSE, i.e. mpbse.nic.in soon. The MP Board 10th and MP Board 12th revised syllabus 2021 would not include courses or chapters that are taught to students mainly in classes 9 and 11. Just like other Boards, the MPBSE syllabus is also reduced to make up for the loss in the academic year due to the pandemic.
While talking to media, retired Principal Sunita Saxena said that now the mental health of students is more important than the syllabus. Due to the lack of regular school, every child is under mental stress. The syllabus is reduced to lessen the burden of examination on students. Units have been deducted subject wise. The syllabus that is taught in Class 9 is now removed from MPBSE 10th syllabus, similarly, some units are also reduced from MPBSE 12th syllabus that are already covered in Class 11. Until now Odisha, Maharashtra, and CBSE Board have reduced the syllabus for students for the academic year 2020-21 keeping the pandemic in consideration. While Odisha deducted the syllabus by 30 percent, Maharashtra reduced the same by 25 percent.
Meanwhile, the MP government decided to reopen schools in the state for Classes 9 to 12 by the end of the month. The reports suggest that the date was to be decided on November 16 and an announcement was to be made. However, according to the report, students of Classes 9 to 12 may have to go back to school from November 25 onwards. No decision on other classes is taken yet.
