Odisha Board Exams 2021: Government yet to provide schedule for Odisha BSE, CHSE examinations

Odisha Board Exams 2021: According to the latest updates, Odisha Board is yet to release the examination schedule for Odisha BSE Board Exams 2021 and Odisha CHSE Board Exams 2021. The media reports suggest that the Board of Secondary Education and the Council of Higher Secondary Education are yet to provide clarification with regard to the dates of the board examinations. Students and parents started to express their concerns stating that the state government must come up with a plan to conduct the Odisha 10th and Odisha 12th board exams probably by pushing them a few months back considering the situation. Odisha Secondary School Teachers Association Secretary Prakash Chandra Mohanty stated that the government must take a final decision on the matter of the board exams so that the children and parents can be mentally prepared.

Mr Chandra further stated that if the COVID-19 situation continues to improve and the government decides to reopen the schools in January it will not be able to conduct the exams in February or March and has proposed that the exams be conducted in May or June. Students must note that the Odisha 10th and 12th Board examinations are usually conducted in February and March and preparations for conducting the exams begin close to three months in advance. Notifications regarding the board exams are usually released by September and a tentative schedule is released by October. 

Meanwhile, the headmaster of Capital High School, Sonamika Ray stated that the students are required to attend classes on campus for at least 2 months before appearing for the Odisha 10th and Odisha 12th board exams. School and Mass Education minister Sammir Ranjan Dash stated that the government will not take any decision which will cause inconvenience for the students. He further added that before conducting the Odisha BSE and Odisha CHSE exams the government will make sure that the students get at least two to three months of offline classes.
