Rajasthan Board on School Uniform: More Details
This move is aimed towards increasing cultural awareness among students and provide relief from the compulsion of wearing the same uniform every day. The instructions given by Directorate of Secondary Education will benefit over 9 million students and around 68,000 schools.
According to the department, wearing different attire one day a week will give children a sense of freedom and allow them to feel connected to their culture. While some private schools already have a different dress code on certain days of the week, this system will now be implemented as a common practice in both government and private schools.
RBSE will conduct Class 12 practical exams 2026 from January 1, 2026, for regular students and from January 28, 2026, for private students. Class 10 exams will be held between February 12 and 28, 2026. The board has officially announced that the RBSE class 10, 12 board exams will be held twice a year from the year 2026 onward.
