The Telangana government is yet to take a decision on the intermediate board exam 2021.
The Telangana government is yet to decide on the cancellation or conduct of TS intermediate exams 2021. Earlier, the board had postponed the TS Inter 2nd year practical and theory exams due to a surge in the Covid-19 cases. The exams were scheduled to be conducted from May 29 to June 7.
With the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelling the class 12 examinations, the Telangana board is expected to cancel the intermediate second-year examinations, which have already been postponed multiple times. The state may consider intermediate first-year marks to give scores to second-year students.
Centre announced the cancellation of CBSE class 12 exam 2021 in view of the uncertain conditions due to COVID-19 crisis and the feedback obtained from various stakeholders. Soon after CBSE 12th exams got cancelled, CISCE along with other state boards also cancelled the 12th board exams. States like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka have cancelled their intermediate exams.
The final decision is yet to be taken by TSBIE and in case they go ahead with no exams, the board will work on finalizing the evaluation criteria to assess students.
