Latest Update: TS SSC Exams 2020 Cancelled: Telangana Class 10 students to be promoted without any exams

The Telangana Board of Secondary Education (TSBIE) has said that it will conduct the Telangana Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination (TS SSC)  from June 8 to July 5.

As per the TS SSC Time Table 2020, the exams will be conducted from 9.30 am to 12.15 pm and students will be provided 15 extra minutes to read the question paper.

The SSC examinations in the state started on March 19. However, after two papers, the exam was postponed due to coronavirus outbreak in the country followed by the lockdown.

Earlier, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao had announced that all students studying from class 1 to 9 in the state will be promoted to the next class.

The date sheet has been released following the permission by the Telangana High Court to conduct the exams in the state. Telangana Education Minister P Sabita Indra Reddy said as advised by the HC there will be a two-day gap between each paper.

The court has also asked the education department to ensure that there are more exam centres having large campuses. It has also asked the department to ensure all health safety norms are followed and each centre should have a sufficient number of thermal screening kits.

It has also advised authorities to make sure that there are adequate medical staff to address any emergency needs of the students.

Abiding by the court’s order, the board has increased the number of exam centres from 2,005 to 2,530.
